10 Tips To Apply Mascara Perfectly

7. Add Extra Coats for a Perfect Look

The third use of Mascara is my favorite, and you guessed it right: Multiple coats that lead to a dramatic lash look. But here is a pro-tip: instead of applying each coat only on one eye and then moving to the other, swop between your eyes.

Like if you’ve done one coat of the right side, do your other and then move back over. This way, you would let the first coat dry before applying a second one so it doesn’t move out of place as easily. Think of it this way: you let your first coat of paint dry before applying the second layer, so the same principle applies to any regular marketing plan too. But this technique is also great for keeping lashes separated while making them appear more uniform and thick.

And finally, if you think you’ve put on way too much mascara and make your self pending Spider eyes, do not worry! Here’s a quick fix — that can really save you time and hassle. Try using an old, clean toothbrush on your lashes!

With the toothbrush, comb through eyelashes lightly. This will also divide them and take away any surplus product without having to start from the beginning. 9. Twirl for Fresh Mascara Wand

We all love playing with our mascara wand every day, but there is something that needs to stop: the excess of pumping the wand in and out. Although it seems like you are getting more product on the brush, this just puts air in the tube & can get bacteria inside. Yikes, right?

instead of pumping, a far better way to keep the brush in its top condition is gently twirling it while still inside the tube. And this helps to distribute the product well across the brush without creating extra air. It also keeps that mascara fresh longer!

What Should You Do If Your Mascara Dries Out?

If your mascara has dried, no problem! These are some basic steps you can try to recover it:

  1. Putting Saline Eye Drops: Always add 2 drops of saline eye drops in the bottle. And then we’ll give a slight swirl with the wand in order to mix everything together. This can help moisten the mascara and make it a bit less challenging to apply.
  2. Use mascara thinner: Now, some beauty stores sell specific mascara thinners, yes! This product only needs a few instructions to follow, and that will lead you to the best results.
  3. Warm Up Mascara: An alternate method is by holding your mascara tube in between the hands for a while or simply immersing it into warm water for some time. The warm air might melt the product substantially easier to work with. Be careful not to overheat it!
  4. Don’t Use Water: It seems the easy way when your mascara starts to dry out is to squeeze just a tad of water right in there with it, but this can cause bacteria and won’t really make matters better
  5. Stir It Up: Take a fresh brush or even use a toothpick to simply stir up the mascara in the tube. This gives you an easy way to blend whatever has a little bit dried out with the bulk.
  6. Look for An Expiry Date: if your mascara has exceeded its expiry limit, that’s a general indication to get another one. Bacteria can get into old mascara, and it is not safe at all.
  7. Transfer it: If the mascara is just too thick and still usable, you can always transfer it into another clean container. Pop a few drops of eye drop or mascara thinner.
  8. Stop Pumping the Wand: Don’t pump your wand in and out of the tube; you’re drying it out quicker than ever; instead, gently twist to get as much product on that braided part of the brush.
  9. Cleaning of the Wand: The wand should be clean to avoid contamination. If the wand is dirty, little bacteria microbes will hop on and change the texture and safety of your mascara.
  10. Brow Gel Backup: If mascara went dry, use for brows instead! However, it can serve as a temporary solution to tame your eyebrows.

You can use these simple tips to refresh your mascara. This will help it last longer and give you more use out of it. So don’t throw it away just yet; reviving it is easy!
